Holidays are wearing me out!

It's December 4th and 21 days until Christmas and I will never get it all done.  Between work and shopping and wrapping and candy making and cooking and, and, and, I am exhausted just thinking about it.  i love this time of year but try to pack too much in to a short period.  This weekend is our annual Holiday party with friends, then on Sunday is Family Chanukah party and next Saturday is Chanukah/Latke party for 17 friends and family.  That means making 8-10 lbs of Brisket- Jewish style and 10lbs of potato laktes frying for hungry guests.  It will be great fun if I don't collapse before I get it all done.  Yes I'm whining but wouldn't have it any other way!  After all I will have 10 months to recover until I start this craziness all over again!

my first post

This is my first attempt at blogging and my first post.  I decided that my first post should be about something I think is really special.  I think Lightgivesheat.org is a good topic.  This organization helps women in Africa be self sufficient and able to support their family.  On top of that the products are great.  I love the bracelets, necklaces and earrings.  They are all handmade using paper to make the beads.

With the holidays right around the corner you should check them out.

Light Gives Heat: A 501c(3) Non-Profit, based in Grand Junction, CO (with a second location in Jinja, Uganda and surrounding areas).

In Uganda they partner with local Artisans to create consistent incomes where there once was none. Through their  Brands SUUBI and EPOH, they create long-term partnerships with Artisans to create beautiful handmade products that will soon grace the shoulders, necks, and wrists of fashion conscious consumers in America and beyond.

The website is www.lightgivesheat.org.  What are you waiting for check them out now!
